OPEN AIR

the six.
Open air = outdoor music festival, thats what they call it here.  I think that's it...Dont ask me why.

Hopped on the S-Bahn to begin my travel to the other side of Berlin where the event was.  My train was suddenly invaded by a bunch of old people dressed like they were going to an Austin Powers Disco Party.  So these ladies get on in their costumes, pink/green/yellow hair, flowers on their dresses, big ass glasses.  Men came with Elvis Presley side burns, floral button ups, bell bottom jeans - you name, they rocked it.  Each time a new hippy group got on, they cheered.

So these old ladies get on, and one pulls out a huge bottle of champagne from her hippy bag.  I was thinkin' to myself, this lady gon' go ratchet and drink straight from that huge ass bottle.  NOPE.  She reached into her bag and pulled out champagne glasses and began to hand them out to her follow hippies.  Then she poured them all some champagne.  I was amazed.  But then I realized that I was in Berlin; when everything is not normal, everything is normal.

Finally I get to where Im suppose to be and it was very different from Toronto.  In Toronto, you go to these things and there are kids everywhere, and alot of them half naked.  Here, most of the people were older and they wore jackets.  Probably cause it was raining and chilly, but whatever, you get the point.

The music was amazing.  The crowd was so good.  No one pushes anyone and no one tries to squeeze their group of 10 into a tiny gap, everyone gives each other some space and it's just a very chill vibe.  Probably cause there were no pre-teens high on molly actin' a fool.  Only thing is, I really thought this would go till 4am since parites here really dont end.. but it ended at 11.  WTF IS THAT.
