Woke up, made breakfast, and watched some good ol' German TV. They have a German version to "Extreme Couponing" and it's more or less the same, just with smaller cars and scarier looking people doing the same nice things. Quickly got bored and decided to do some research on places to get cheap groceries cause stupid me went shopping at a high end food store yesterday.. Found out that there was a decent one near by so decided to get ready head there with my backpack to fill my fridge some more. Took pictures of the directions on my phone just in case I needed it; that no data life is painful. Five minutes into the walk and I was already there. Dissatisfied with the sights along the way I decided to be adventurous and make the trek to the Viet Haven I found online a.k.a Dong Xuan Center. According to GMaps, it was an hour walk from my place and since it was early and I still don't know how the transit system works, heck why not go exploring.
So for the 926428 blocks I walked, Berlin is a mix of cute, small, older looking homes in the nicer hoods that actually have people on sidewalks and large apartments with sketchy surroundings in the not so nice hoods with not so many people outside.
Two hours later, I finally make it to the land of my people and its ghetto as can be. Imagine your local flea market, but instead of a giant square, it's a bunch of rectangular buildings with one hall down the middle and shops on each side. Bras, panties, fugly jeans, fabric, all your cell phone needs, fugly clothes, nail salons, hair salons, grocery stores, restaurants, it had everything and nothing at the same time. Got myself some much needed Sriracha sauce and a box of noodles; life's essentials. I wasn't that hungry but figured since I walked for 2 hours in the sun, and will walk back, why not try some German pho.

On the walk back I found a "mall" pretty close to me equipped with a H&M, McDicks, Burger King, Subway AND a bubble tea shop around the corner! This shall be visited on another day.
