RETAIL THERAPY
UnknownSaturday, July 26, 2014 0 comments

getting ready for their run into the sun.

Felt like exploring the shopping options of Berlin today.. and I must say.. it's not cheap.  Retail therapy is more expansive than actual therapy here.  Everything costs more after converting the Euros to Dollars.  As some of you may know, I have a thing for shoes and they're kind of my addiction.  Deciding what shoes to bring with me and what to leave behind was tough.  I am so glad that there are multiple sneaker boutiques minutes away from my home base. In Canadia to go shopping you'd hit up your nearest mall which would have more or less everything you needed.  Here, there are "shopping districts".  Depending on the area, these districts will carry different brands and what not.
Overkill Shop, I'd say the name is an accurate description.
First stops, the sneaker stores near by;  HHV and Overkill - HEAVEN.  Next up, Hackescher Market.  This area is quite touristy as its near Alexanderplatz (aka TV Tower).  Few shops, lots of restaurants but it did have a Nikestore and a few more sneaker spots, although nothing really impressive.   Finally, I went to one of the "shopping districts".  To be honest, I don't even know what it's called but they did have a huge sporting goods stores, the Nike Flagship store for Berlin, and KaDeWe.  Basically, the Nike store was... was... amazing.  it had EVERYTHING including a Nike ID area.

me vs. KaDeWe
And KaDeWe, well lets say this is your SoGo of HongKong, your Shinsegae of Seoul and your Yorkville of Toronto. Designer brands on every floor.  Designer as in Hermes, LV, Gucci, Celine, Prada, Saint Laurent, Chanel, etc.....needless to say I walked in and pretty much did a u-turn right out.

this is what 400 euro gets you... ='(
